Our Team
CHRIS JAY
As the founder of Bascule Entertainment, Chris has a long history of working with various organisations, charities and institutions in the UK, helping them to develop a deeper awareness of disability. Chris also promotes inclusivity through his UK business, Bascule Disability Training (BDT)- a social enterprise that helps organisations to incorporate disability into their business strategies.
Chris entered into the film industry as a UK based investor, who was keen to finance projects that embraced themes of disability, whilst utilising crew/ actors/ talent with disability.
Born with cerebral palsy, Chris has been a wheelchair user for most of his life. In the UK, he is a prominent voice on the topic of disability, an accomplished speaker, author, training facilitator and consultant for developing disability awareness. He has been a passionate advocate for disability rights and inclusion for many years.
TAYLOR JORDAN
Taylor brings to Bascule a decade of experience in both the operational and creative aspects of filmmaking. Beginning her career in the casting world, Taylor first worked at LA based casting agency Pemrick Fronk before joining Paramount based MTS Films where she served in multiple roles including Head of Casting and Production Coordinator.
Whilst living with the challenges that Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, dyslexia and ADHD bring, Taylor’s career has continued to thrive.
She has worked on a number of films including ‘The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’, ‘The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows’, ‘Devil’s Gate’, ‘Maybe I Do’, ‘Beneath the Darkness’ and ‘Wait Till Helen Comes’.
Recent casting credits include ‘The Baker’ (2023) starring Ron Perlman and Harvey Keitel and ‘The Retirement Plan’ (2023) starring Nicolas Cage and Ashley Greene.
